Bunions can cause a lot of pain and discomfort, it may also limit footwear option and day to day activities. We do conservative management and this is focused on footwear and biomechanics, custom insoles and orthotics to reduce pain and discomfort, offload the painful joint, delay progression and surgery. Orthotics are also used after surgery for prevention of Bunions forming again.
